Vent: I was pairing prints all wrong for years
I used to just throw together any floral and stripe and call it a day. Then at a sewing workshop in Denver last fall, a woman pointed out that my scarf and skirt both had the same scale print. She said that's why it looked messy. Now I make sure one print is small and one is large. Has anyone else had a moment where a simple rule like that clicked for you?

charlies37, the sewing workshop was actually in Denver, not Denver. I think you might have mixed up the city name. I was just happy someone finally told me about the scale thing because I was the same way, throwing random patterns together. Now I always check that the prints are different sizes before I leave the house.
