My post hole digger broke on a job in Austin last Tuesday

I was setting posts for a 200 foot privacy fence when my old digger just snapped at the handle. Had to borrow a neighbor's auger to finish the day, which was way faster but kept hitting rocks. Now I'm thinking about upgrading but not sure if a powered auger is worth the money. Anyone run into problems switching from manual to powered digging?

Didn't my buddy Owen break an auger bit on a rock in his first ten minutes with one?

Did your friend try a one-man auger or the two-handle kind? My buddy borrowed a power auger for his fence and hit a rock so hard it threw him backward into his own pile of dirt. That thing was powerful but he spent the whole day cussing at limestone instead of digging.

Power augers are totally worth it.
