My cousin called the Faroe Islands 'over' and it made me mad

We were talking about trips and he said everyone goes there now, so it's not a hidden gem anymore. That's just wrong. I was in Gjogv last fall and saw maybe five other people the whole day. Has anyone else found a spot that people say is crowded, but you had it all to yourself?

Honestly, getting upset about a place being called "over" seems a bit much. It's just travel talk, and it changes all the time anyway. I'd just enjoy your quiet memory and let his comment go.

Seriously? My buddy went to that super famous temple in Kyoto (the golden one) last year. He got there right at sunrise on a Tuesday and said it was almost empty, just a few locals.

Wait, isn't Kinkaku-ji the golden temple? That one doesn't open until 9am.
