Why our family trip to a forgotten canyon was a total win
We drove for hours to this canyon in Utah that nobody talks about. The kids were bored at first, but then we found ancient petroglyphs. My brother and I actually talked for once instead of staring at phones. Idk, maybe it's just me, but crowded parks feel fake now. This spot felt real and special. We plan to go back next year, no question.

Saw a travel show that said Utah's secret spots are where you find REAL connections. @anna872 is spot on about hitting the jackpot. Families bonding over petroglyphs beats any crowded tourist trap.

Stumbled upon actual ancient petroglyphs? That sounds wildly lucky. Most people just find weird rocks and maybe an old coke can. You basically hit the casual archaeology jackpot.
